A Seat on the Agri Committee for the First District. State Politics. 06/22/10. <http://www.state-politics.com/south/a-seat-on-the-agri-committee-for-the-first-district/>.
The House Minority Leader John Boehner would support Crawford receiving a seat on the House Agriculture Committee if he is elected. Crawford has worked in the agriculture business and is well-known among farmers through the AG Watch Network (http://www.agwatchnetwork.com). Agriculture is an important topic in the first district of Arkansas because over 90% of constituent employment is tied to it.
Energy
ENERGY – Affordable Fuel & Domestic Security. Crawford for Congress. 2010. <http://www.meetrickcrawford.com/issues/affordable-fuel-domestic-security/>.
Crawford supports lifting any bans on oil and gas extraction on the Outer Continental Shelf. After surveying the area, environmental protections could be placed only where needed and the rest would be free for development. This would allow for the production of more domestic oil and gas, rather imports.

Crawford Chides State Democratic Party for Lurching to Change Subject from Healthcare. Crawford for Congress. 03/26/10. <http://www.meetrickcrawford.com/2010/03/26/crawford-chides-state-democratic-party-for-lurching-to-change-subject-from-healthcare/>.
Crawford does not support the health care reform bill. He believes it is an “entitlement” program that will severely increase taxes well into the future. He said, "We need an elected official who will stand up to say our government will not expand or create any new government programs until we restore fiscal soundness."
Crawford Speaks Out Against “Deem and Pass”. Crawford for Congress. 03/19/10. <http://www.meetrickcrawford.com/2010/03/19/crawford-speaks-out-against-deem-and-pass/>.
Crawford does not support Pelosi’s attempt to do a "deem and pass" vote on health care, where the voting record is hidden. He says such a vote is unconstitutional. If elected, he would repeal "any socialized health care plan".
