Collins Bailey is the Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 5th Congressional District (map) of Maryland. On February 12th, 2008, he won the Republican nomination to challenge incumbent Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.). ^[1]

Bio

Bailey is 54 years old and have been married for 33 years with four children by that marriage. He was a self-employed businessman for over 30 years, and spent the last twenty years of his life working with local schools. Currently, he is serving his fourth consecutive four year term as an elected member of the Charles County Board of Education. ^[3]
