Bio
Background
Shuster was born January 10, 1961 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and graduated from Dickinson College where he earned his B.A. in Political Science and in History. He then earned an MBA from American University.
Congressional Career
He was elected to the United States House of Representatives in a special election in 2001. Shuster won re-election easily in 2002 and 2004.
2006 elections
In 2006, Democrats nominated Tony Barr to face Bill Shuster in his November 2006 bid for reelection. (See U.S. congressional elections in 2006) [1] Shuster retained his seat.
